Who We Are

This website is operated by TOMCOMM. (TOM Communications), a professional communications company based in Kings Hill, Kent, UK. Our website address is tomcomm.co.uk.

What Data We Collect

When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, telephone number (if provided), subject, and message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

Live Chat

The chat window on this website lets you ask us a question and be answered by a person, not a chatbot. When you use it we store the messages you send and receive, the page you started from, and your name and email address if you choose to give them. Your email address is used only to send you a reply if you have left the site, and only when we choose to send one; it is never used for marketing.

To reconnect you to your conversation, a random key for it is kept in your browser's local storage. It contains no personal information and is removed when you start a new conversation or clear your browser data. Your browser is also asked to complete a short anti-spam check, provided by Cloudflare, before a conversation starts.

When a conversation ends you may be asked to rate it with one of three faces; the answer is stored with the conversation. Conversations are deleted 90 days after they end. You can ask for yours to be deleted sooner by emailing hello@tomcomm.co.uk.

Cookies

This website uses essential cookies to ensure its proper functionality. We also store your consent preference in your browser's local storage to remember the choice you made on our cookie notice. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are used.

Analytics

If you accept our cookie notice, we load Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. These record anonymous, aggregated information about which pages are visited and how quickly they load. They do not use cookies, do not fingerprint your device, and do not identify you personally. If you select "Reject", analytics are not loaded at all.

How We Use Your Data

Personal information submitted through our contact form is sent to us via email and may be stored in our database for record-keeping purposes. We use this data only to respond to your enquiry and to provide the services you have requested. We will not use your information for marketing unless you have given explicit consent.

Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which they were collected, and live chat conversations for 90 days after they end. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at hello@tomcomm.co.uk.

We use the following third-party services to operate this website:

• Resend — for sending contact form emails
• Supabase — for database hosting
• Instagram (Meta) — for displaying our Instagram feed
• Vercel — for website hosting
