Every scene on the console can carry a note. When a scene is recalled, the top card shows its note and the one beneath shows what follows in tonight's running order. No tapping, no scrolling, no looking away from the console.

Running orders
Build a running order per night by tapping scenes in order, or press Record and recall them on the console as you go. Encores that revisit a scene still know what follows.
Notes that stay put
A note belongs to a scene in a show and follows it through every running order. A second note can be added to a running order for one night only.
Gig Mode
One tap locks the show and running order, puts the settings away and leaves the cards following the console. Leaving is a deliberate slide, not a stray touch.
One show, one console
A show is named after an artist or event and made for one console series, PM or DM. Point it at the other kind and the app says so in plain words rather than guessing.

A button on the start screen walks a new show through four steps: name and console series, the address with a port check, pull the scenes, build a running order. About five minutes at soundcheck.
Backups in Files
Every show is mirrored as a file in the Files app. Each show and running order has its own menu for Rename, Duplicate, Export, Backup and Delete. Nothing leaves the iPad unless you send it.

The demo show, The Super Group, comes built in: twenty songs with notes, four mid-song scenes, and three running orders, Festival 45, Headline 90 and Acoustic session, each with its own running-order notes. Load it from the start screen on an empty iPad, or from the Try it box in Help at any time, and work through it offline.
It shows the app as it is on a gig: the running order down the side, the scene that is up and the one after it on the cards.

Guided setup on the start screen takes a new show through four steps. Name it and choose the console series; give it the console's address, with a port check and the iPad's own addresses beside it, and one Connect button that goes straight on to the pull as soon as the console answers; pull the scenes and see the list; then build a running order, or finish and start writing notes.
1. Name and console series
A show is named after the artist or event and made for a PM Series or DM Series console.
2. The address
Type the console’s For Mixer Control address, check the port, and Connect.
3. Pull the scenes
The scene list arrives from the console, names and comments included.
4. A running order
Tap the scenes in tonight’s order, or finish and come back to it later.
Read-only, and nothing to set up on the console.
Scene Notes talks Yamaha's own remote control protocol over the network, the same one Yamaha's software uses. It subscribes to scene recalls and reads scene names and the console's own comments. It only listens: it never recalls a scene or sends data to the console.
On a PM Series console it connects to the DSP engine's address, under SETUP, NETWORK, FOR MIXER CONTROL. On a DM Series console it connects to the console's address under SETUP, NETWORK, For Mixer Control, not the Dante or Device Control one. Port 49280 on both.
The iPad opens the connection to the console, so the console never needs to know the iPad exists. Unplug mid-show and the console does not care. Lose the network and the app reconnects on its own when it comes back.
You will need
- An iPad on iPadOS 18 or later. The app runs full screen.
- A Yamaha PM Series console (Rivage PM3, PM5, PM7 or PM10) or DM Series console (DM3 or DM7).
- A network path from the iPad to the console's NETWORK port, wired or over your own Wi-Fi.
- The console's For Mixer Control address, with its ENABLE switch on where the console has one.
